This page explains how to request the deletion of your Rendi account and the personal data associated with it, in accordance with Articles 17 and 12 of EU Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR).

Data controller: Aliquo Technologies SRL, Via Giovanni Pascoli 3, 20129 Milan, Italy — VAT 13208450968.

What gets deleted

Once your request is processed we delete:

  • your customer account on Rendi.it (profile data, saved addresses, preferences);
  • your identity record at our authentication provider Clerk Inc. (email, OAuth provider unique identifier, profile picture if associated with the login);
  • your subscription to marketing communications managed via Klaviyo;
  • the tracking identifiers linked to your customer profile (profiling cookies, advertising IDs, attribution events).

What we cannot delete, and why

Some data must be retained even after the account is closed, as required by Italian law:

  • invoices and accounting/tax records related to completed orders: 10 years from issue, under Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code and Articles 21 and 39 of Presidential Decree 633/72;
  • transaction data required by anti-money-laundering rules or specific authorities: for the period set by the applicable law;
  • records of customer support requests where needed to handle complaints, disputes or warranties: until definitive resolution.

This data is accessible only to authorised personnel and is no longer used for commercial or profiling purposes.

How to request deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  • subject: "Account deletion request"
  • body: the email address linked to your account and, if different, the name you placed your orders under.

To prevent unauthorised deletions, we may ask you to confirm the request from the email address registered on the account, or to provide additional elements to verify your identity.

Timing

We respond to your request within 30 days of receipt, as required by Article 12 GDPR. For particularly complex cases the deadline may be extended by up to two further months, with a reasoned notice to you. Once deletion is complete you will receive a confirmation email at the address you used for the request.

Effect on Google, Facebook and Apple login

Deleting your Rendi account removes the data we hold, but does not automatically revoke the permission you granted to your identity provider (Google, Facebook or Apple) to share data with Rendi. You need to revoke it directly with the provider:

  • Google: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, find "Rendi" in the list of connected apps and select "Remove access".
  • Facebook: go to facebook.com/settings?tab=applications, find "Rendi" and remove the app.
  • Apple: on iPhone/iPad open Settings → tap your name → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID; on Mac open System Preferences → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID. Find "Rendi" and select "Stop Using Apple ID".

If you signed in with Apple and chose "Hide My Email", the address registered with Rendi is a @privaterelay.appleid.com alias. Deleting your Rendi account removes the alias from our systems; turning off the forwarding must be done separately from iCloud.

Your other rights

Beyond deletion, under Chapter III GDPR you may at any time request access, rectification, restriction, data portability and objection to processing. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

For any request or complaint: [email protected].
